Fulton man arrested after firing his gun in Callaway County
Early Tuesday morning, The Callaway County Sheriffs Office responded to a call of shots being fired in the 2900 block of County Road 334.
When deputies arrived on scene, several gunshots were heard. Deputies found Dennis Bowen at a residence in the area.
During the investigation deputies recovered a firearm in Bowen’s possession.
Bowen was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail.
Bowen was later charged with unlawful possession of a firearm as he was previously convicted of being a felon, peace disturbance and possesion of a controlled substance in a corrections facility.
Bowen is currently being held with a bond of $25,000 cash only.
Public court documents show Bowen has 12 previous felony convictions for burglary, stealing, tampering with a motor vehicle, and property damage.
The investigation is ongoing.
