Tuesday Evening, December 6
TONIGHT: Clouds will increase with lows dropping into the low to mid 20s. Winds will stay under 6 mph from the northwest.
WEDNESDAY: The day will start off dry and cloudy with high temperatures in the mid 30s. Light rain or snow is possible after 3 PM west of HWY 63 but will become more likely after 5 PM with the best chance of snow south of I-70 in the evening hours. Rain would be brief, changing to snow with minor accumulation possible in the evening as temperatures drop below freezing. Areas north of I-70 will see no accumulation while areas south of I-70 could pick up a dusting of snow with pockets of 1/2 inch possible.
EXTENDED: Temperatures will plummet to the mid to upper teens Wednesday night, bringing wind chills 0 to 5 degrees by Thursday morning. Friday morning looks to be the coldest this week with low temperatures at 10-15 and wind chills dropping to near zero. Friday’s temperatures stay in the upper 20s although we will have abundant sunshine. Clouds move in Saturday as high temperatures reach the upper 30s and we finally make it above freezing.
