Evening Update: Wednesday Snow Forecast
Evening forecast models are coming in slightly drier for Wednesday. It still looks like we will see some snow but it will be mainly flurries or brief light snow north of I-70 from 3-5 PM while areas south of I-70 have a better chance for a period of light snow from 5-8 PM. Temperatures will drop below freezing after 5 PM which will make it more likely for snow south of I-70 to stick, mainly on grassy surfaces. There could be some slick areas on roads.
Temperatures will drop Wednesday night into the mid to upper teens as arctic air moves in. A northwesterly breeze will increase to near 10 mph early Thursday morning, increasing to 15 mph in the afternoon, generating wind chills in the single digits Thursday morning and wind chills in the teens Thursday afternoon.
