Sunday Morning, December 4

TODAY: Light snow and rain will begin to clear out by late morning. Skies on the other hand will remain mostly cloudy until late afternoon. Due to the persisting cloud cover, the high temperature will rise only to the mid 40s. Winds today will be out of the southeast at 5-7 mph with partly cloudy skies overnight.

MONDAY: There is a chance for morning fog to start off your work week. After the fog clears, Monday will be partly sunny with a slightly warmer high temperature in the upper 40s. A slight chance for rain moves back into Missouri by Monday night with the better chance for that rain existing in areas east of I-44. The rain chance will continue overnight.

EXTENDED: Tuesday’s conditions will be partly sunny with temperatures in the lower 40s. We are watching the coldest air yet this season move in by Wednesday. Along with this significantly colder air is a slight chance of snow Wednesday starting in the afternoon. Temperatures will be only in the mid to upper 30s and will drop into the upper teens Wednesday night, climbing into the 20s by Thursday. We’ll have more details on the cold blast and precipitation chances as new data comes in. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
