Michigan Street homicide suspect charged

The Cole County Prosecutor’s Office charged Terrance Wynn, 19, with murder, robbery, assault and armed criminal action related to the Oct. 31 homicide of Terrance Davis.

Wynn is one of the two subjects wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred in the 700 block of Michigan Street.

Court documents said Wynn was one of three arrested for a Nov. 9 shooting on Monroe Street, which resulted in multiple weapons charges.

Shell casings recovered from the scene of the Monroe Street shooting were matched to those found at the scene of Davis’ homicide 10 days earlier, according to the probably cause statement.

That same statement described Wynn’s interrogation with Jefferson City Police Department investigators, who showed him a video taken by a security near the scene of the Oct. 31 shooting.

The document said Wynn admitted to his involvement in the crime, which he described a robbery.

Jefferson City police are still searching for one other murder suspect and ask that anyone with information to call CRIMESTOPPERS at (573) 659-TIPS.
