There could also be a few spots seeing patchy fog near Chariton this morning. High temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 40s with high clouds moving through and a north to northwest breeze under 6 mph.
TONIGHT: It stays mostly clear through this evening with light winds, with not much as far as a wind chill. Clouds will increase late from the south tonight. Areas north of I-70 may stay clear, allowing temperatures to drop a few more degrees, possibly bringing frost and patchy fog early on Saturday morning. Lows tonight will fall to the upper 20s with northerly winds under 3 mph.
EXTENDED: The weekend stays chilly with a slight rain chance late Saturday through Sunday morning. Light rain will move in to the Ozarks by late afternoon and evening Saturday, it looks like mainly after 9PM, and spreading north and east overnight. It’s possible that some snow could mix in with the rain by Sunday morning but surface temperatures will be above freezing. Rain moves out by 9AM-11AM on Sunday morning bringing decreasing clouds on Sunday night. High temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 40s this weekend with more clouds than sunshine. Rain moves back in Monday evening, latest timing looks to be after 7PM from the south, moving out by early Tuesday morning where 0.25″ to 0.75″ looks good. We are watching the coldest air yet this season which will move in next Wednesday along with a chance of rain or snow. We’ll have more details as new data comes in.
