Auxvasse woman sentenced for string of crimes in mid-Missouri
Jessica Aschoff pleaded guilty to one count of first degree burglary in connection to an armed robbery and shooting that lead to a manhunt throughout mid-Missouri in August.
A Pike County judge sentenced Aschoff to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. She will spend the first 120 days behind bars and then the judge will decide whether she finishes the rest of her sentence there.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Office said Aschoff and Michael Miller broke into a man’s shed near Gazette to steal a lawn mower. Authorities said Miller fired a gun toward the man.
Miller and Aschoff then made their way to Audrain County where authorities said they broke into a home armed with a gun. The two forced law enforcement into a standoff into the early morning hours.
The next confirmed sighting of the two was the following day in Centralia in Boone County causing the schools to go on lockdown.
Aschoff and Miller were eventually taken into custody in Columbia.
Miller is scheduled for an arraignment hearing in Pike County Court on Dec. 21. He is charged with burglary, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, and assault in connection to the crimes.
