“No Shave November” nets donations for Super Sam Foundation

The Fulton Police Department is set to donate more than $1,000 to the Super Sam Foundation.

According to the department’s Facebook page, First Responders of Callaway County participated in the “No Shave November” event this month.

During the event, responders were allowed to skip strict clean shave policies by donating $20.00 to charity. This year, the Super Sam Foundation was selection as that charity for, according to the department, “their work in the community assisting children and their parents who are struggling with childhood cancer.”

Cassie Santhuff of the Super Sam Foundation will be presented with the proceeds at the Fulton Police Department Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

Santhuff’s son, Sam, died in September 2014 after more than a year diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer.
