Two separate shots fired incidents in Columbia happen 15 minutes apart
UPDATE 11:19 a.m.: According to Columbia Police, officers were dispatched to shots fired at 912 W. Business Loop, Club Vogue, at 1:44 a.m.
They located multiple shell casings on Eighth Street. Officers also located several cars hit by gunfire.
There are no reports of anyone injured.
Approximately 15 minutes later at 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to a verbal disturbance with shots fired in the 300 block of W. Worley Street.
They discovered several shell casings in the driveway at 309 W. Worley Street. There are no reports of injuries, and officers did not locate any damage to property.
Columbia Police say there is no suspect information being released. According to a press release, it is unknown if these two incidents are related. However, a sergeant told an ABC 17 News reporter they were investigating that possibility.
ORIGINAL STORY: Shots have been fired in Central Columbia and officers have recovered shell casings from the scene.
Columbia officers responded to a shots-fired call near the Club Vogue area around 1:45 a.m.. Officers said they recovered “multiple” shell casings and at least one car was hit. Officers said they believe a silver Mazda may be involved.
About 20 minutes later, officers received a second shots-fired call on West Worley Street. Again, officers found “multiple” shell casings. There were no injuries or property damage reported.
Officers said they are investigating the two incidents as possibly related.
