UPDATE: Police name man shot and killed on Kathy Drive in Columbia
UPDATE: Columbia Police identified the man killed in the 1800 block of Kathey Drive on Sunday as 45-year-old Kevin Robert Hollins. Hollins died of a gunshot wound to the head.
UPDATE: The probable cause statement has been released for the arrest of Monique Parra.
According to the statement, Parra and her boyfriend agreed to clean the house, go see her child, and then they were going to kill themselves.
Parra told the police she agreed with the suicide but did not plan on going through with it. She also told the police her and her boyfriend got into an argument once he returned from going to the store. Parra said the two argued over the gun and then she heard the gun fire.
Parra said she wasn’t sure if she had her hand on the gun when it went off.
The assistant prosecutor on the case suggests Parra’s bond to be set at $250,000 cash only.
Parra was arrested on March 5, 2016 for disturbing the peace. The probable cause statement for that arrest said Parra hit a nurse in the face at the Mizzou University Hospital.
Parra pleaded guilty in June 2016 and received unsupervised probation for two years. Some of the special conditions of her probation required Parra not to break the law, not to go to bars and not to have or drink alcohol and not to have or take controlled substances.
UPDATE: Police have just confirmed with ABC 17 News that Monique Parra was arrested for Sunday’s suspicious death in the 1800 block of Kathy Drive.
When police responded to the residence, they found a man dead with a gun shot wound. They also found two people inside the house, who were later taken into custody.
One of those in custody was Parra. During questioning, she admitted to police that she assisted in pulling the trigger of the gun.

Public arrested records show Columbia police arrested 38-year-old Monique Parra. They show she was booked in jail around 1:40 Monday morning and is held without bail.
ABC 17 News checked public charging records and found no formal charged filed against Parra.
