Rain Chance Friday

A storm system on Friday will bring light rain amounts. Areas west of US 63 looks to get trace to .10″. Further east of US 63 rainfall amounts of 0.25″ look likely, upwards to 0.50″, particularly east of HWY 54. Forecast model trends have been moving the storm system quicker across our area on Friday, which look to move any rain chance out by the early afternoon 2PM-3PM leaving some brief clearing during the day. Areas north of I-70 on Friday evening will likely see more cloud cover as the backside of the low pressure system moves across northern Iowa and low level clouds move back in to then northern half of Mid-Missouri. A few sprinkles can’t be ruled out north of I-70 on Friday night. Areas south look to stay mostly clear with temperatures dropping to the low 30s.
