Crash sends 9-year-old to hospital; driver arrested on suspicion of DWI

Jefferson City Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of Marshall Street for a vehicle crash.

Once officers arrived, investigators revealed a southbound Jeep Cherokee hit a parked Dodge Avenger, then pushing it into a parked Mercury Villager.

The Jeep Cherokee then overturned on the driver’s side in the middle of the roadway.

A 9-year- old girl was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She was treated and released.

The driver of the Jeep, a 27-year-old woman, was also transported to a hospital where she was treated and released.

The driver of the Jeep was taken into custody for several alcohol-related offenses.

The Jeep and the Dodge were towed away due to the amount of damage.
