TODAY: It will continue to be warm for early November as temperatures reach stay in the mid 60s this morning, warming to the upper 70s this afternoon under a mostly cloudy sky. There is a slight t-storm chance near HWY 24 after 7AM this morning through noon. The main batch of storms develops after 4PM north of HWY 50. These will eventually track south towards the Lake of the Ozarks overnight. Showers will end early Thursday morning near I-44. Severe storms are unlikely but isolated strong storms with small hail and gusty winds are possible. Potential rainfall amounts will be highest north of I-70 with up to an inch possible while areas south could see totals closer to a 0.50″ to 0.75″.
TONIGHT: There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather this evening for areas mainly west of US 63 and north of I-70. The heaviest rain looks to occur by from 7PM-12AM tonight where a good portion of Mid-Missouri will get 0.50″ to 0.75″. The main threat with overnight storms will be rain and lightning while the Marginal Risk includes a 5% probability for damaging winds over 50 mph and large hail 1″ in diameter or greater. Storms overnight look to taper off across I-44 by 3AM-4AM. Temperatures look to only drop to the mid 50s with winds becoming northwesterly at 5-10 mph.
EXTENDED: Conditions will be dry and mild from Thursday through the weekend with daytime high temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 and nights in the mid to upper 40s.
