Tuesday afternoon, November 1
TODAY: Near record breaking temperatures expected through the afternoon hours, as strong warm air advection is in full swing across Mid-Missouri. Look for scattered clouds this afternoon with more sun through the day. Winds will be from the south/southwest, perhaps reaching 15 mph sustained winds in the afternoon gusting to 20 mph. Temperatures will be 10-15 degrees above normal reaching the low 80s.
TONIGHT: Clouds will be increasing tonight in advance of Wednesday’s storm system. Winds will remain from the south, becoming light under 5 mph. Temperatures remain well above normal in the mid to low 60s overnight.
EXTENDED: Our next chance of rain moves in Wednesday morning north of I-70 with shower and t-storm chances increasing to the south through the day as a cold front approaches. Showers and t-storms move south through the night Wednesday to near I-44 through early Thursday morning and ending. Severe storms look unlikely but a few strong storms are possible with small hail and strong wind gusts. Potential rainfall amounts will be highest north of I-70 with up to an inch possible while areas south could see totals closer to a 0.50″ to 0.75″. Conditions will be dry and mild for the remainder of the week and next weekend with daytime high temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 and nights in the mid to upper 40s. Next Monday could bring a slight rain chance for those west of US 63, otherwise next week looks to bring below average rainfall. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
