Holts Summit man pleads guilty to meth conspiracy
A Holts Summit man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to a 2014 meth conspiracy.
Justin Raul Sanchez, 48, admitted he traveled to Georgia with a co-conspirator in March and April 2014 to get a large amount of methamphetamine. On April 21, 2014, Sanchez’s co-conspirator was stopped in Taos, Missouri by state troopers, who found the meth hidden in a silver coffee can underneath seats in the vehicle. Troopers also found a loaded handgun.
On April 24, 2014, law enforcement searched Sanchez’s residence and found meth, drug paraphernalia, a drug ledger and $7,817. Sanchez was arrested, and he later admitted to distributing meth from his residence.
Sanchez faces a minimum of five years in prison without parole, and could spend up to 40 years in prison. He will also give up the $7,817 which was seized in 2014.
