Wednesday afternoon, October 19
TODAY: It will feel more like fall again today with rain chances increasing throughout the day to areas south of I-70. A northerly wind will keep temperatures feeling more like mid October in the upper 60s. Rain looks to increase after 12PM, where t-storm looks possible closer to the eastern Ozarks and I-44 where there is a Marginal Risk for damaging winds and large hail. Rainfall amounts still do not look terribly impressive, with amounts along I-70 near .01″ to. 10″ while areas closer to I-44 could see upwards of 0.50″ to 0.75″ with locally higher amounts in eastern Missouri where 1″ is possible closer to the St. Louis area. Rain will move out by 7PM- 9PM over I-44, perhaps with a few lingering showers overnight into Thursday morning.
TONIGHT: We’ll stay cloudy overnight with temperatures in the mid to low 50s. Clouds look to decrease through 3AM-5AM for areas west of US 63 where temperatures may fall a tad in the upper 40s by Thursday morning.
EXTENDED: Skies will clear quickly through morning on Thursday, leaving plenty of sun on Thursday afternoon. It will be mild with highs in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies but it will get chilly overnight as lows dip into the upper 30s to low 40s by Friday morning. Friday will be the coolest day of the week as high temperatures only reach the low 60s. We’ll start warming up for the weekend with highs near 70 Saturday and into the mid 70s Sunday and nights dropping to the mid 40s under mostly clear skies.
