Man suspected of gang ties charged in Callaway County
A felon with suspected gang ties has been charged with domestic assault and child abuse in Callaway County.
Fulton Police said they responded to a home on Chippewa Drive Sunday night to help a woman and child leave the residence. Court documents claim Joseph Frasher strangled the woman and hit her child the previous evening.
Police were also told that Frasher, a convicted felon, had firearms in the home and was known to carry them.
On Monday, officers served a search warrant for Frasher. He and his father were detained while police searched the home.
Multiple boxes of ammunition, a revolver and pipes with a marijuana smell were found inside the home. Frasher was then taken into custody without incident.
Frasher has four previous assault convictions and, according to court documents, is an outspoken member of “Family Values,” a gang with strong ties to current Missouri DOC inmates.
Documents also reveal Frasher had allegedly made threats, saying if a crime against him is reported, he or a “Family Values” gang member would retaliate with murder.
Frasher is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of drugs.
