Columbia woman arrested for stealing, drugs
A Columbia woman was in the Boone County Jail after being charged with drug possession Monday.
McKayla Whitehead was arrested after a traffic stop on I-70 near Rangeline in Columbia.
An officer pulled a car over after seeing it weave in one lane of traffic. The officer recognized Whitehead in the rear passenger seat because she was a suspect in a felony case the officer was investigating.
Drug paraphernalia, meth and five credit and debit cards belonging to other people were found inside Whitehead’s backpack.
Whitehead was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, five counts of receiving stolen property, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia with bonds totaling $27,500.
