Columbia man charged with assault, endangering a child and unlawful use of weapon

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 5300 block of Currituck Lane on Saturday evening.

Tyrell Glenn Brown and the male victim were having a verbal argument in the living room of the home that they shared. The victim reported that Brown went back into his bedroom, returned with a handgun and pointed it at him.

According to the victim, Brown told him he was going to kill him. A female witness, who was holding her infant nephew, went to push Brown’s arm out of the way to stop him from hurting the victim. There were also two 11-year-olds and one 10-year-old present in the house during the disturbance.

Brown was arrested for third degree domestic assault with a bond of $1,000, endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree with a bond of $500 and an unlawful use of weapons felony with a bond of $4,500.
