Boonville man arrested for drugs

A Boonville man is jailed following his arrest for multiple drug charges.

According to the Boonville Police Department, officers from the Mustang Drug Task Force arrested 43 year-old Shawn Richard Greer Saturday at his residence at 1200 Third Street.

While executing the search warrant, officers seized methamphetamine, prescription controlled substances, evidence of drug sales, and surveillance equipment. Greer was arrested in April of this year with a 1/4 pound of meth, and evidence was collected during the investigation that shows he was a prominent distributor of the drug.

Greer has been charged with drug trafficking, three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Cooper County Jail on a $ 125,000.00 bond.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
