Motocyclist injured on Highway 50 in Jefferson City

A 73-year-old man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle on Highway 50 at the Highway 54 overpass.

Jefferson City Police responded to the crash just after 12 p.m.

Officers said the driver, George Pendleton, hit the concrete barrier that divides the eastbound and westbound lanes and was ejected from the motorcycle.

He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

According to the crash report, Pendleton was wearing a helmet.
