More than $1.8 million donated to Missouri Governor campaigns

The Missouri Governor’s race continued to prove it’s the most expensive race in the country Friday.

Quarterly campaign finance filings were due Friday and revealed both Democrat Chris Koster and Republican Eric Greitens received hefty sums in the past three days.

Greitens’ campaign received the largest single donation with $1 million coming from the Republican Governors Association. From Wednesday through Friday, he received more than $1.1 million.

Koster garnered donations from both political and union groups, reaching nearly $700,000. He received $250,000 alone from the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education.
