TODAY: A frost advisory remains in effect through 10AM for Saline, Chariton, Macon, and Randolph counties where frost is possible and sensitive vegetation uncovered could be damaged. After a chilly morning with temperatures falling to the mid to upper 30s north of the Missouri River, we’ll have a sunny, cool afternoon with high temperatures touching near 60 and an easterly breeze of 3-6 mph.
TONIGHT: Clouds looks to increase this evening again for areas south of the Missouri River where there is a slight rain chance mainly after 3-4AM. Temperatures won’t be as cool overnight in the mid 40s with winds becoming southeasterly under 5 mph.
EXTENDED: The rain chance looks to end through 12PM on Friday leaving meager rainfall amounts near 0.20″ or less. Friday will be warmer with high temperatures reaching the upper 60s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. The warming continues for the weekend with high temperatures near 80 Saturday and upper 70s Sunday. There is a chance of t-storms Saturday night after 8PM through early Sunday morning. Sunday looks partly cloudy and mainly dry. Next week is trending warm for the third week of October. Average high temperature next week is 66-68, Monday and Tuesday look unseasonably warm in the low 80s with possible storms returning midweek.
