Columbia police investigate shooting on Sexton Road

Columbia police confirm they were investigating a shooting in the 100 block of Sexton Road Thursday night.

Residents started calling around 7:45 p.m., saying they heard multiple shots in the area.

Patrol Sgt. Jeff Rukstad said police found evidence of 10 rounds hitting a house. One person was inside the home at the time of the shooting but was not injured.

Police left the scene just before 9:00 p.m.
