Monday Morning, October 10

TODAY: Columbus Day will be a pleasant one with high temperatures in the lower 70s with mostly cloudy skies. High pressure off to the east will slide a bit further to the east, leading to an increase in southerly winds. Winds through the day will remain out of the south under 12 mph.

TONIGHT: Remaining cloudy through the evening, yet pleasant. Lows tonight will dip into the low to mid 50s, as we’ll see a few breaks in the clouds. There is a small chance of rain after midnight and lasting through Tuesday morning north of I-70. Winds will remain out of the southeast under 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Tuesday will be unseasonably warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s and only cooling off to low temperatures in the upper 50s overnight. More widespread rain is expected on Wednesday as a cold front makes its way through Mid-Missouri starting at 10AM with the best chance of showers in the afternoon and lingering till Wednesday night. Rainfall totals are expected to be heaviest along I-70 and I-44 with totals under 1″. Chilly conditions return after the front passes with lows overnight on Wednesday dropping to the lower 40s.
