Missouri egg company issues recall
Good Earth Egg Company, based in Bonne Terre, Missouri issued a recall of all of its shell egg products because they have the potential to become contaminated with salmonella. The recall includes all shell egg products with sell by dates of Oct. 8 and earlier.
According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, eight people in the states of Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois have been infected, and two others have been hospitalized. There have been no deaths reported.
The recalled eggs were distributed throughout the Midwest to supermarkets, wholesalers, restaurants, institutions, and direct sales to customers.
