UPDATE: Missing man identified as victim in fatal tractor incident
UPDATE 2:00 p.m.: The victim in the fatal tractor incident from Tuesday morning has been identified as 67-year-old William May of Otterville.
May’s family reported him missing on Sunday.
Officials suspect that May was driving a 1960 Allis Chalmers tractor on Old Highway 50 just west of Otterville, and ran off of the road. May was pinned underneath the tractor after it overturned into a ravine.
ORIGINAL STORY: A farm tractor appears to have left Old Highway 50 and has overturned in a water-filled ravine on Tuesday.
There is a possible fatality, but the Cooper County sheriff’s office has not made any confirmations at this time.
