Residents continue talks over Boone County sewer costs

Boone County is still working with two property owners on an expensive sewer connection.

Last month, we reported the two homeowners on East Hinton Road, north of Columbia, would have to pay more than $10,000 to build and connect to a sewer line.

Friday, Boone County Regional Sewer District head Tom Ratermann said he met with the two Thursday to come up with ideas on how to make payments manageable.

Ratermann said he will present those ideas to the Board of Directors to approve later this month.
