Man accused of rape at Lincoln University
ABC 17 News has more details about a man who is now charged after he is accused of raping someone at Lincoln University. Court documents claim Winston Edwards, 26, exchanged phone numbers with the victim before meeting her at his room in Martin Hall. She says Edwards forced himself on her after giving her a massage, but he denies ever having sex with her. Officers said the woman was so distraught she could barely speak after they were called to Martin Hall around 2:15 a.m. Friday. Edwards are taken into custody walking the hallway around 2:45 a.m. As of Wednesday evening, he was still in the Cole County jail on a rape charge and $100,000 bond .
