RV on fire causing back up on eastbound I-70 near mile marker 119

An RV on fire in Boone County is causing a back on eastbound I-70.

It happened around 10:30 Wednesday morning near mile marker 119.

Boone County EMA sent an alert saying traffic was backed up in the area and is advising drivers to expect delays in the area. Public dispatch notes show at least eight units responding to the scene.

Our ABC 17 News crews on scene say one lane is blocked in the area. It’s unclear right now if anyone was hurt in the incident or why the vehicle caught fire.
