Wanted Jefferson City man arrested after standoff

A Jefferson City man was arrested after a standoff in Cameron Thursday night.

According to Major Bryce Mesko with Mexico Public Safety, Jason Williams was wanted for an August incident where a man was found shot in the face. The man was later treated and released from the hospital.

Investigators linked Williams, Danielle Rushing and Michael Rushing to the crime.

This week, Mexico Public Safety announced Jefferson City police arrested the Rushing siblings and were able to place Williams in Cameron.

Cameron police found Williams Thursday and a three-hour standoff ensued with Williams surrendering himself.

Williams faces charges for robbery, assault, armed criminal action, and stealing an animal.
