Preliminary hearing delayed for former Osage County Sheriff
UPDATE: The preliminary hearing was delayed.
The defense and prosecution agreed to a continuance.
A preliminary hearing with witnesses is now scheduled for November 4th. ABC 17 News will have a camera in the courtroom.
ORIGINAL STORY: Michael Dixon, the former Osage County Sheriff charged with unlawful use of weapon, is expected to have a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning in Boone County.
Dixon is accused of pointing a loaded gun at a man in a Hartsburg bar in April. At that time, he was on probation for a misdemeanor harassment conviction.
