No one was hurt after a Holts Summit home is damaged by fire Wednesday afternoon.

The Holts Summit Fire Protection District responded to blaze around 3:30 p.m in the 700 block of Branch Road. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the home.

The damage inside of the home was contained to the kitchen. The amount of damage done to the structure is unknown.

Firefighters said the homeowner acted quickly, which helped with a timely response.
