Lamine River bridge to reopen ahead of schedule

The bridge on I-70 over the Lamine River in Cooper County will reopen ahead of schedule, MoDOT announced Tuesday afternoon.

Work started in mid-July, restricting traffic to one lane in each direction. According to MoDOT, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be back to two lanes each starting Wednesday morning at 6 a.m.

During construction, delays would often stretch as high as 40 minutes, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, when traffic would back up for several miles.
