Two-car crash blocks downtown intersection
Columbia Police had to block the intersection of College Avenue and Broadway early Saturday morning because of a car crash.
Police on scene told ABC 17 News they were a block away at Walnut and College conducting a DWI investigation when they heard the crash.
When officers got to the crash site, they said, smoke was coming from one of the cars. Columbia Fire was also dispatched to the area.
Police said both drivers and the passengers were not injured. They do not suspect alcohol was involved.
Police had to block the intersection and redirect traffic while tow trucks cleared the area.
