Two Columbia businesses fail alcohol compliance checks

Two businesses in Columbia sold alcohol to minors in the latest round of compliance checks, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Officers ran the checks on July 18 at the Hy-Vee on West Broadway, the Wal-Marts on Conley Road and West Broadway, Midwest Petroleum on Paris Road, Casey’s on Rangeline, and Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon on Vandiver Drive.

Of those businesses, the first four did not sell alcohol to underage buyers; Casey’s and Lone Star did sell to underage buyers.
