Early morning trailer fire leaves resident temporarily displaced

Firefighters were able to quickly put out a trailer fire that left one resident out of her home this morning.

Crews got the call at 12:30 a.m. Friday. A neighbor reported the fire and said it was underneath the front of the mobile home.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in about five minutes but the home’s utilities were affected. An official on scene told ABC 17 News a waterline was burned through.

Three fire engines, two tankers, one rescue squad and one ambulance were on scene. Units from Columbia Fire and Boone County Fire assisted.

An official on scene said the fire caused minimal damage and said the investigation would start later in the morning.

No one was hurt during the fire.
