Authorities identify chase suspect that fled into water
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department identified a man wanted after driving into floodwaters earlier this month.
Deputies are searching for John Belisle. He was charged Friday with domestic assault and resisting arrest. He’s also a registered sex offender.
The pursuit happened on July 3 when deputies chased him until he drove into the Auxvasse Creek.
He reportedly got out of his car and swam away.
