Man charged with making terrorist threat
A man was charged in Boone CountyThursday with making a terrorist threat.
Court documents claim on July 1 Erik Harris called 911 stating he saw a man carrying six large duffel bags with wires hanging out of them. He told the operator he saw the man place the bags throughout University Hospital.
Investigators reviewed security video footage and found nothing matching that description. They also searched the area and no duffel bags were found.
Court documents claim Harris committed the crime by making a false report with the purpose of frightening people. It also claims 10 hospital staff members were directly involved with the incident and 300 patients were at the hospital at the time.
