South Dakota man arrested in Lake Ozark for assault

Deputies in Camden County arrested a man from South Dakota over the holiday weekend after he allegedly assaulted several people at an entertainment venue in Lake Ozark.

According to witnesses, on July 1 David Borchardt tried to run over members of the security staff at the venue with his vehicle after a verbal and physical fight with management. Apparently, Borchardt, who is from Sioux Falls, had been asked to leave twice, and it was the second instance which led to the fight.

Borchardt, 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault and driving while intoxicated.
