Noise complaint at lake-area hotel leads to numerous drug arrests

A noise complaint at a hotel in Camden County led to deputies arresting seven people on suspicion of drug-related crimes on Saturday.

Early in the morning, hotel staff called the Camden County Sheriff’s Office about a noise complaint; when deputies arrived, they found hotel staff in a hallway with a number of apparent guests.

The staff told deputies they had gone to the room to ask the people inside to turn down their music. When the guests opened the door, staff members say they saw drugs on a table in the room. One of the people in the room had also apparently jumped from the room’s balcony to the balcony of a neighboring room.

During their investigation, deputies found marijuana, prescription pills, cocaine, and paraphernalia.

Those arrested include William Kafar, 25, of Dubuque, Iowa; Fontae Buelow, 24, of Dubuque; Ricky Garner, 24, of Dubuque; Shelby Graham, 23, of Dubuque; Douglas Wagner, 25, of Asbury, Iowa; Alfonso Rodriguez, 19, of Sullivan, Missouri; and Ryan Moffitt, 19, of Osage Beach.
