4th of July closures and updates

City offices will be closed Monday, July 4th due to the Fourth of July Holiday.

The regular City Council meeting will be hel on Tuesday, July 5th.

COMO Connect will support Fire in the Sky with free fares.

All rides on COMO connect will be free on July 4th courtesy of COMO connect, the Public Works Department, and the City of Columbia.

All lines will support the Fire in the Sky event from approx. 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Columbia’s 64th Fire in the Sky event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with several festivities and ends after the 9:15 p.m. fireworks display.

Holiday parking meters will not be enforced July 2nd at 7 p.m. through the night of the 4th. (Parkers must began feeding the meters again at 9 a.m. on July 5th.)

Fifth and Cherry lot will be closed on July 4th from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. for the Fire in the Sky event.

All vehicles need to vacate the lot by 5 p.m. on July 4th or face being ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

The lot will reopen on the 4th at 11:30 p.m.

Sixth and Cherry garage will be closed July 3-4th at 7 p.m. to July 4th at 11:30 p.m. for the Fire in the Sky event also.

Again, all vehicles need to vacate the garage by 7 p.m. on July 3rd or face being ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

The parking garage will reopen on July 4th at 11:30 p.m.

Parking permits in the closed garage and lot will be honored at the Fifth and Walnut garage from July 1st at 12 p.m. to July 5th at 10 a.m.
