Marginal Severe Threat Sunday
While heavy rain will be the main threat with Saturday and Sunday’s storms we’ll need to watch for strong storms on Sunday morning and evening. There will be two rounds we’ll need to keep an eye on that could produce damaging winds and large hail. From 2AM-5AM the nose of a Low Level Jet could fuel strong storms in the morning hours. The area looks along the Missouri River and closer to I-70 at this time.
The cold front associated with this system could fuel stronger storms by the evening again. Areas east of US 63 look to have the greatest chance for strong storms from 4PM-10PM. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
