Mid-Missouri deputies searching for robbery suspects

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two men after an armed robbery took place at a home in Monroe County.

Sheriff David Hoffman told ABC 17 News the men broke into the home, two miles south of Madison, around 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Hoffman said the men wore bandanas over their face and carried guns. They zip tied the two people inside of the residence. The men took the victims’ cellphones and money. The men left the home before authorities were contacted.

The victims were able to free themselves from the zip ties. They drove into Madison, where they made contact with a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy.

Hoffman said they do not have a description of the men.

If anyone has any information in this case, they are asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department at 660-327-4060.
