No one hurt after house fire in Fulton

Investigators are looking into what caused a house fire in Fulton Thursday night.

Fire crews were called out to a fire at 1837 Jefferson St. just after 5:15 p.m.

Investigators told ABC 17 News that two people were at home at the time of the fire, but no one was hurt. The interior of the home is considered a total loss.

Firefighters also had to deal with the hot weather while fighting the fire.

Fulton Fire Chief Todd Farley said the department was “Having our firefighters roll through what we call a rehab where they get hydrated and vitals are monitored. They don’t get released from rehab until the paramedic says that they’re healthy and good to go.”

The American Red Cross is assisting the residents of the home.
