Law enforcement cracking down on DUIs over holiday weekend

Law enforcement agencies will be adding extra enforcement for drunk driving this weekend with the Memorial Day Weekend holiday.

From Friday morning to Sunday morning, Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers in Troop F arrested 11 people on suspicion of drunk driving. Seven people were also arrested in Troop F for boating while intoxicated.

Troop F is also participating in Operation C.A.R.E. and Peak Travel Crash Reduction Enforcement. Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) means every available officer will be on the road enforcing traffic laws and assisting motorists.

This weekend, Troopers will also be assigned to 20-mile intervals along I-70 and US Hwy 54 from mile maker 87 to 186.
