Severe storm causes damage in Saline County

A severe storm which moved across Saline County Thursday afternoon left a number of broken windows around the area.

People reported seeing egg- to baseball-sized hail, which led to a number of broken windows and windshields around Marshall. There are no reports of injuries to people, though Marshal Fire Chief Tony Day said in one situation, a pet cat was killed because of the severe weather.

Strong winds blew down a light pole near the Marshall Fire Department station on West Arrow Street.

Parts of Marshall also got as much as two inches of rain over a three-hour period.

Residents in the area say in the ten years of living in the area, they have never seen damage like they did today.
