Two arrested on suspicion of having meth and marijuana

Two men from Audrain County have been arrested following a drug investigation in Mexico.

Thursday afternoon, authorities with the East Central Drug Task Force searched a location on South Morris Street, finding methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities arrested Dennis Ayo, 36, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. He also has a warrant our of Boone County for distribution of a controlled substance.

Darin Barnes was also arrested Darin Barnes, 31, on suspicion of the same charges. He also has a Boone County warrant for distribution of a controlled substance.

The Mexico Public Safety Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Audrain County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search.
