Three men accused of injecting drugs into candy, selling to teens

Three young adults have been arrested following a drug investigation in Osage Beach on April 30. The investigation which led to the arrests started after authorities learned someone diluted prescription pills into liquid form, injected the liquid into soft candies, and sold the candies to high school students.

The investigation led authorities to a location on Osage Beach Parkway in Osage Beach, where they found marijuana, prescription narcotics in poll form, and Sour Patch candies suspected of containing the liquid prescription narcotics. The candies have been sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for analysis.

Those arrested during the investigation include Henry Vandonsel II from Lake Ozark, and Tanner Berg frand Tori Tomson, both from Brumley. each faces a charge of distributing a controlled substance, and are due in court May 31.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Osage Beach Police Department, and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group participated in this operation.
