Four people arrested during drug bust in Fulton

Four people have been arrested following a drug bust in south Fulton. On Wednesday afternoon, investigators from three agencies carried out search warrants in the area of St. Francois Street and West Chestnut Street.

Those arrested include Joshua Byrd and Jeffrey Nash, both from Fulton; Cheyenne Tripp from Jefferson City; and George Vanwart from Columbia. Byrd, 27, and Tripp, 19, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). At the time of his arrest, Byrd was under supervision of the state Board for Probation and Parole for other felony offenses.

Nash, 26, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana; Vanwart, 33, was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants from Osage County.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department, Fulton Police Department, and MUSTANG Drug Task Force participated in this operation.
